Brooklands Group has cancelled its Manchester A Place in the Sun Live show only 18 months after it was launched.
Amid fears of market saturation, it has also scrapped plans for its autumn A Place in the Sun Live offering that was due to take place at Earls Court from 3 - 5 October.
"Two events in the same Earls Court venue six months apart would have risked saturating the market and compromised our chances of success at either," said A Place in the Sun Live group events director Ken Pritchard. "For the same reason, since the scale of what we are now committed to in spring 2009 is greatly increased, we will not run our Manchester show in 2009."
The London event will now take place from 3-5 April 2009. It will be co-located with DMG World Media's Ideal Home Show, which runs from 20 March to 13 April at Earls Court.
The next show will take place from 26-28 September this year at the NEC. However, in 2009 there will only be one autumn show, either at the NEC or Excel London.
