Earls Court is to host what claims to be the world's first carbon neutral exhibition.
Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom show kbb London is the first exhibition to get "Carbon Neutral" branding from CarbonNeutral, the company that monitors and brokers carbon reduction.
"Almost every major company in the KBB sector is doing something to reduce its environmental impact on the planet, such as reducing the energy consumed by appliances during their working lives or the amount of water used in the bathroom", said kbb London event director Paul Sweeney.
"We are part of the KBB market too and wanted to support the efforts of the other companies by providing a CarbonNeutral exhibition."
For the carbon neutral programme kbb's CO2 emissions are matched with CO2 savings achieved by an India waste-heat energy conservation scheme. A donation will also be made to an initiative that promotes a new lighting system for midwives.
kbb London will take place from 17-19 May 2009 at Earls Court.
